CARIFESTA UK
Carifesta UK specialises in teaching about the Caribbean and the Commonwealth through costumes, artefacts, poetry, song and dance.
Some of the costumes and artefacts come straight from the Amerindian villages of Guyana; some represent the traditional garb of the people who came from West Africa, from China, from India to work as slaves or indentured labourers. Some descendants of these Caribbean people mastered the language of their European exploiters whose history and literature they studied at school.
